An overview of modalities
At Spa Mack, no two sessions are the same—because no two people are the same. Each two-hour experience is thoughtfully designed to meet you where you are in that moment. Together, we’ll tune in to your body’s signals, exploring the modalities and tools that best support your needs. Whether you’re carrying physical tension, emotional stress, or simply seeking rest, each session is a personalized journey of discovery and release.
Some days may focus on massage work and fascia release; other days may invite breathwork, sound therapy, or guided meditation. By blending techniques with intention, we create space for your body to soften, your mind to quiet, and your spirit to reconnect. This customized approach allows you to move at your own pace—unraveling, restoring, and returning home to yourself.
The Table
The table at Spa Mack is more than just a surface—it's a sacred space where transormation unfolds. Here, you’re invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself. It’s a place to feel safe enough to release what no longer serves you and rediscover the strength that’s always been within. As your body unwinds, your mind quiets, and your spirit finds rest, the table becomes a reminder that your journey isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about returning home to yourself. Each session is a step back to your true essence—a place of peace, presence, and overflow.
Psoas and Hip Release
Psoas and Hip Release focuses on relieving tension in the psoas muscle and surrounding hip structures. The psoas, often called the "muscle of the soul," plays a key role in posture, movement, and stress response. Tightness in the psoas can lead to lower back pain, hip discomfort, and even emotional stress. This release technique uses acupressure points, unwinding of pressure points, and myofascial release to relax the psoas, improve hip mobility, and restore balance to the lower body. By releasing tightness in the hips and psoas, this therapy helps reduce pain, improve posture, and enhance overall flexibility and movement. Releasing the hips can unlock stored emotions, creating space for clarity, calm, and a renewed sense of presence.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, therapeutic massage technique that focuses on stimulating the lymphatic system, which plays a key role in detoxifying the body and supporting immune function. The lymphatic system helps remove waste, toxins, and excess fluids from the body, but sometimes it can become sluggish, leading to bloating, fatigue, and a build-up of toxins.Through light, rhythmic strokes and gentle pressure, lymphatic drainage encourages the movement of lymph fluid, helping to clear out toxins and reduce swelling. It’s particularly beneficial for improving circulation, boosting the immune system, reducing water retention, and promoting a sense of overall well-being.In addition to detoxifying the body, lymphatic drainage can also help with conditions such as sinus congestion, chronic inflammation, and post-surgery swelling. This technique promotes relaxation and leaves you feeling lighter, refreshed, and rejuvenated.
Fascial Release
At Spa Mack, 3 different methods are combined to treat the fascia. Fascia Release with Emotional Integration: This approach focuses on the connection between fascia and emotions, helping release both physical and emotional tension through gentle pressure and breathwork. Myofascial Release: A technique that applies sustained pressure to the fascia and muscles to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore balance by releasing fascial restrictions. Fascia Maneuvers: Targeted movements designed to stretch and manipulate the fascia, improving flexibility, posture, and overall tissue function. Each method offers a holistic approach to fascia health, addressing both physical and emotional tension for deeper release and enhanced well-being.
Facial Cupping and Gua Sha
Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, gua sha and facial cupping are powerful tools. Gua sha involves gentle scraping of the skin using a smooth stone tool, promoting circulation, easing muscle tension, and supporting the body's natural detox process. Facial cupping uses small, soft cups to create gentle suction, stimulating lymphatic flow and reducing puffiness while encouraging radiant skin. These practices not only enhance your glow but also help release stagnant energy and support emotional balance, leaving you feeling refreshed, renewed, and deeply relaxed.
GUA SHA
Gua Sha is a traditional therapeutic practice that involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to stimulate circulation, release muscle tension, and promote overall wellness. Originating in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this technique has been used for centuries to improve the flow of energy, or Qi, within the body, and to help alleviate pain and discomfort. Over time, gua sha has also become a popular treatment in modern wellness circles for its potential benefits to the skin, muscles, and fascia.
Sounds
Sound has the power to calm the mind, soothe the nervous system, and guide you into deeper states of relaxation. At Spa Mack, intentional sound therapy may be woven into your session to support your journey. Whether through soft vibrations, calming tones, or meditative music, sound creates a space where your body can release tension and your mind can find stillness. These gentle frequencies encourage balance within, helping you feel grounded, present, and at peace.
Vibrations
Vibration therapy is a powerful tool that taps into your body's natural rhythms to promote deep relaxation and healing. By introducing gentle, rhythmic vibrations, this technique helps release tension stored in muscles and fascia while calming the nervous system. Vibrations can also enhance circulation, improve lymphatic flow, and encourage a sense of groundedness and inner calm. At Spa Mack, these soothing frequencies create a space where your body can realign, your mind can quiet, and your spirit can reconnect.
