I offer courses both in person and online. Here’s some details on the topics I cover.
Facial Cupping and Gua Sha
Fascial Cupping and Gua Sha are two complementary techniques rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that work to release tension, improve circulation, and promote the body’s natural healing processes.
.
Fascial Cupping uses suction cups to gently lift the skin and underlying tissue. This creates a vacuum effect that increases blood flow, stimulates the fascia (the connective tissue around muscles), and helps to break up adhesions or restrictions in the body. It can be especially beneficial for relieving chronic pain, improving flexibility, and reducing muscle tightness.
Gua Sha involves using a smooth-edged tool, such as an Asian soup spoon, to gently scrape the skin in specific patterns. This technique helps release muscle tension, enhance circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage. Gua Sha is often used to address areas of stagnation or discomfort, helping to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation.
.
For the face, these techniques help stimulate collagen production, reduce puffiness, and improve skin tone and texture. After a session, you may notice a natural lift, smoother skin, and a more radiant complexion.
.
Additionally, these techniques can help alleviate tight jaw, sinus issues, brain fog, headaches, and head tension by releasing tension in the facial muscles, stimulating circulation, and promoting relaxation.
.
The combination of increased blood flow and lymphatic drainage can also help reduce the appearance of fine lines and leave you feeling refreshed, centered, and clear-headed.
